Last year on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day when we had a very windy snow storm, the rosy finches were on my feeders in a feeding frenzy. It was absolutely amazing. I guess they'd left Allenspark and had gotten lost. WOW!
Anyway - thanks for the great shots!
-LaurieAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36967163.post-81113464529768646492008-01-23T18:48:00.000-07:002008-01-23T18:48:00.000-07:00Very nice. I was up there in November, too early for the rosy finches, but did have one nice bighorn ram perched on a rocky outcrop along the road on the way back down. Lots of fun!birdchaserhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12059679554555819009noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36967163.post-35683155196708256272008-01-21T16:05:00.000-07:002008-01-21T16:05:00.000-07:00I really like the last image, Bill. And to think you not only saw the rosy finches, but such close-up views of bighorn sheep. Wow! Talk about being in the right place at the right time. I would love to have that opportunity some day. Thanks so much for sharing this outing.Mary Chttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08077077785157768787noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36967163.post-46010565086637988152008-01-21T10:31:00.000-07:002008-01-21T10:31:00.000-07:00Wow, that was quite a trip.
