Alas, Poor Yorick

Here's one for you bird sleuths to figure out: an avian skull I found (along with the rest of the feathery skeleton) in a wooded portion of eastern Colorado. I'll post the ID answer in a bit- for now leave your guesses in the comments section.

Both great guesses, but so far no dice.

Codger- you'll note how similar a Turkey Vulture is to this skull, but the bill tip is more hooked on a TUVU than on this bird.

I'll guess Ring-Necked Pheasant. But it could well be a turkey as well. Seems like it has to fall into that family somewhere.
