Birds in the Funnies- Sherman's all wet

I wonder what the wing loading on that albatross(?) is? Ironic that a comic about the wonders of flying shows what appears to be a flightless bird, judging by its wings...

You have a good point about small wings on that bird, but have you ever thought about how ridiculously small Eared Grebe wings are? They can't really fly except for the part of the year they are migrating.

True, that! Kind of cuts down on the dynamic soaring potential, doesn't it?
